Reviews for Beirut • Obarrio
Review highlights
Based on 4,059 reviewsBeirut | Obarrio is noted for its vibrant atmosphere, combining lively music and traditional belly dancing that many patrons find entertaining, though some perceive it as overly theatrical. The Lebanese cuisine is generally praised for its authentic flavors and generous portions, with standout dishes like shawarma, shish taouk, and muhammara receiving positive mention. Service experiences vary; while many appreciate attentive and personable staff contributing to a welcoming environment, occasional inconsistencies in waiter professionalism have been reported. The setting attracts a busy crowd, occasionally leading to a hurried ambiance. Though prices may be on the higher side, many guests consider the overall dining experience—comprising food quality, entertainment, and ambiance—worth the expense. Some minor menu preferences, such as ingredient choices and sweetness levels, have been noted, yet overall, Beirut | Obarrio maintains a reputation as a lively and flavorful destination for Lebanese cuisine in Panama City.
The food is good and worth it. The place is busy and everyone feels hurried, even if not full. The music is loud and the dancers are doing their best to entertain, but the whole thing can't help feel gimmicky. Again, the food is good.
The food was good and there was belly dancing happening the night we were there. A fun place and the wait staff was attentive and gave suggestions for our party of three. I will go back.
The place looks nice. Unfortunately we got unlucky with the waiter who was washing the floor, brought us water and kept washing the floor. It was weird and you definitely should clean your hands in between. The menu is huge and I ordered shawarma. The first version looked like old chicken on the plate. Nothing what you would expect ordering shawarma. Likely we received a new waiter. Everything got better as I received proper shawarma and it was very tasty. Hummus and the salad were very amazing. We will come back and hope it will be a good experience all the way through.
Went there for Iftar. Shish taouk was well marinated and tasty with fresh salad. Hummus bil Lahme was okay but the muhammara was really delicious (minus the almonds though, I would have preferred to have walnuts instead). Great atmosphere and good live music. Shisha was excellent as well as the tea. Baklawa was a little too sweet. Overall great experience, will definitely come back!
Absolutely amazing food, one of my best restaurant in Panama. We had the combo for 2, and it was delicious! Quantity was a lot we had to take leftovers home. Service is brilliant - and part of the experience - the owner is very charismatic and treated us like kings! The price is not the cheapest ended up being 100 usd for 2 but worth it!
Awesome service and food at this Lebanese restaurant. Hookah available to smoke. Very reasonable priced. Belly dancers Thurs to Sat. Free wifi. Great outside seating area with water fountain. Service staff very attentive.
